Me too. When it happened I felt the power loss from one bank at least. I suspect the cambelt tensioner, but I won't be able to tell properly until it's out. I think the impact you can hear is piston vs valve, but am not sure.

It's a GTV so the engine has to come out even to take the heads off.

I have very little room to work, so it is as much a logistical challenge as anything else. Sigh.

I've bought a German 1999 QV rival as a daily until it's fixed. Yuk!

Can't easily get the engine out yet so out of curiosity got out the boreoscope.
