well after searching and reading everything on the forum I am still at a loss as to where the 'clips' that, according to the workshop manual, I only need a small screwdriver to get off...


do any of the fantastic and knowledgeable people who post on this wonderful forum have an answer to this conundrum

On your second picture you can see a black seal.
Pull down towards the door and you will see where the handle clips to the part that screwed to the door - you can see the screws.
Gently push a screwdriver blade to release the clip - very simple once you move the seal to expose the clip you will see what I mean.

haha I have tried that but to no avail

may have another go and take more pics if I can

thank for the pic although this is what is causing me problems as it is the usual Haynes solution...... [eg. undo bolt and suspension can be removed.. but we won't tell you of all the other stuff you need to do first ] rant.gif

then I believe you have to remove the interior door panel, then disconnect the linkage between the door locking mechanism and the door handle.
