Hello guys. Since I have my alfa 146 1.6ts 16v I have check engine light. It is camshaft sensor. The thing is that I replaced it (with magneti marelli) and it didnt help sad.gif Also I checked cables from ECU connector to sensor connector with beeping multimeter and all seems fine. I also tried to check with oscilloscope but it is my granddad homemade oscilloscope and there was lots of interference and noise so it was useless. I have 5V on pin 1 which should be ok Ground on pin 3 which is ok as well but 12v on pin 2 which is strange because if it was pull down type there should be 5v and if pull up sensor 0v or no? So Im quite desperate now and dont know how should i proceed next. Only thing that I have on my mind is that ECU is broken.

This seems very unusual Kejkla-

What are the problems with the engine exactly?

Well the thing is that i dont know if there is any problem because light is on since i bought the car so I dont know if it would run better without this error. Otherwise my fuel consumption is 10-11l/100km (25-28mpg) I run mostly city. Once when I was in alfa specialist garage he was driving my car and said that the car is slower than his brothers 1.4ts but who knows if that is true.

It smoke blue a bit. Probably oil burn from worn piston rings. Idle is a bit unstable after start but goes back to normal in like 5-10seconds.
