Hey 'word up', as we say on the street, here in the East of Scotland-

can anyone say of a reliable source for gas struts for the tailgate on my 146 (no spoiler)

I'm just trying to hold back from 'throwing 40 into the wind' on flea bay...

I brought a pair from a Latvian seller on eBay. Fast delivery and they were Italian Marellis too. Still work as well. Brought them about 4 years ago. I'll trawl through my purchases to get you the name of the seller.

bought a pair of the 18-99 ones off ebay for my 145, working fine so far, makes a change to pull the hatch down rather than wait for the thump on the back!

Oh!

I see what you mean!?

So, if you (could) trigger the release, the force is SO strong; that the tailgate will immediately lift by itself??

That's bonkers!

Not much chance of that with the 146 backend I don't think... (Hope not anyway!)
