Could I have your opinions guys?

I have restored two of my wheels and am unsure where to go from here. I was aiming to match the wheels to the dark grey bumpers and failed!

Three options. 1. Continue as I am. It doesn't look too bad but not what I wanted.

2. Go darker to match the bumpers

3. Back to standard

I have attached a before and after photo

Hey Michael,

thats pretty amazing- are you a painter by trade..?

However; I would see that in real life; and not see the connection to the bumpers. So if you still want that look- go darker!

Ha it was supposed to be gun metal. I've got a much darker Base coat now. I'm going to try prepare the wheels this week. So I can get them finished.

Thanks for the advice

These have a clear coat. I scrimped on the Base coat paint so nobody to blame but myself. Give me a week and it'll be looking the part :-)

Arty shots of the new wheels :-) need to clean the over spray off the tyres. But pretty impressed! Now to do the other two the cars a bit lop sided. whistle.gif

I would definitely go back to standard.
These alloys match so well the car on their standard color.

If it was a performance aftermarket alloy, then I think it would make sense have them in another color.

I'd go:
standard alloy with its standard color.
aftermarket alloy with whatever

Hello there. Cheers for your opinion. You are right these alloys look brilliant as standard. Unfortunately mine were a little far gone.

I do like them in the darker grey though. A job well done and I like the results

I think you should go back to the standard color, as it suits in the best, IMO. I think Teledials rims should be always painted on stock medium gray

Btw, your 145 looks nice!

Your wheels look good on your car.
I don't like earlier teledial - looks old-fashioned or a bit scruffy but yours in dark coloured is nice!
I would remove mine 16" 155 spoltiva and swag 15" teledial again ofcourse in gun metallic as 16" feels too much heavier than the original.
In fact I use 15" with snow tires in winter.
I feel it's so pleasure to drive.
