It's hard to tell to be honest. It happened in the early hours of the morning, so nobody was around or awake to witness it.
Where I live opposite a hotel, we have standard parallel parking and parking like it would be in a car park, side by side so it may have been a van reversing out and hit mine and just drove off without a care in the world! -------------------- |

aaaaaaaawwwwwwwww !!! people make me soooooo angry
had similar done to mine in a carpark a few years back , if you claim on insurance your premium goes up or you have to mess about with local garages to get it right at your own cost. if you cannot find a red door to go straight on how about a rattle can and paint the inside edge yourself should save the garage charging for fitting |

![]() ![]() ![]() I hope you reported it to the police as a hit and run. Is there any CCTV at the hotel you could ask to look at? You might want to check how much your insurance premium will go up by if you put in a claim. Mine is currently in for repair at the moment to get the dent in the door sorted along with the nasty crease down the rear quarter panel plus the dent in the front wing. It's being done through insurance and will add an extra £30 onto my annual premium (I've got protected no claims that helps) which I thought was fair enough. Unfortunately though it doesn't take much to write off these cars if you do put in a claim. The cost of actually doing the repairs on mine did go above the insurance write-off limit but between the garage and I we came to an agreement to leave a few things off that I could tackle myself afterwards (mainly the front grille and door mirror) which then brought the repair costs to just under the write-off value. Unfortunately they wouldn't tell me what value that limit was as it's between them and the insurance company. Might be worth considering getting yours fixed insurance through if it comes in under the write-off value and isn't going to bump up your premium by too much. -------------------- |

What a shocker. I nearly felt sick looking at the pics!
Its always a risk leaving cars on the road. My red 145 has had the bonnet jumped on, wing mirror snapped broken off, eggs thrown at the car (this was a new one), half eaten sandwiches left on the roof (presumably by the egg thrower), both bumpers scraped, keyed down one side. My 147 was keyed all along the drivers side about three months ago! And to add insult to injury the pigeons drop their payload all over the car where I park. If I was paranoid I'd be forgiven for thinking there was someone with a vendetta against me! There's scum out there. -------------------- G A N Z 145

how can they just write it off like that? they're there for a reason? useless bunch of people! lets hope they give you some kind of money towards it ![]() Unfortunately these cars are worth f-all in the UK and if the cost of repairs goes above something like 65-70% of the value of the car the it's deemed uneconomical to bother repairing so it gets written off. Mine nearly got written off about 6 weeks ago for that very reason but we ended up coming to an agreement to leave off some off the eork needed to bring the repairs below the write-off threshold value. -------------------- |
