Cover shredded itself within a week, didn't photograph it before I binned it. The cable tie holding the cover to the bump stop has disappeared: guess it couldn't cope with the bump stop itself bursting. You can see the yellow cable tie supplied to hold boot to strut at the bottom of the picture.

My real worry is if they sell something as clearly s**t as this, what about the hundreds and hundreds of pounds worth of poly bushes elsewhere on the car (a gtv). Not happy!

Yeah, s**t innit.

In fairness it is the correct bore and I didn't fit it to the nose gear of an F18 so it should have been okay.

So obviously not all that universal, and not really a bump stop either. Just 30 quid down the drain plus my time and whatever else it broke. rant.gif

Felt something, checked and that's what it was. Tried using really heavy duty cable ties (2x10mm+) but they disappeared within a week. Topmount is sh*gged anyway (was dodgy already, but this won't have helped!) so will do both at same time. Just have to hope it doesn't bust my brand new Konis while I'm waiting for the parts to come.

NOT happy!

If it's any consolation the PowerFlex rubbers on the front wishbones on my BMW have done about 6 years and are still working well and still save me the yearly lower arm change - just like all good Italian cars, the OEM ones are s**te.

How is the racing looking for this year?

Racing? Ha! Think that's something I used to do.

It's funny: the bushes I've fitted seem okay too. Maybe because they are contained by the arm they sit in when they compress? Or maybe this was just a manufacturing error.

Gone now anyway and the dampers did survive so no great shakes. Still annoying tho!

Same as me, what's the best?
