Just to clarify TwinSpark, they did butcher an early connector on there? If they did the previous owner was an idiot laugh.gif

Now you know what the 5-pin connector should look like it might be worth just wandering round a scrappy and seeing if you can find one on another car so you aren't limited to just getting one from a 145/146. The other cars they are definately present on are various models of...

- Fiat Bravo (1998-2000)
- Fiat Marea (1999-2002)
- Alfa 156 (1997-2002)
- Alfa 166 (1998-)
- Alfa Spider/GTV (1998-)

Hey all, I have a 2000 1.4 TS 145 and I suspect my problem is a combination of temp sender and MAF.

The MAF in my car was obviously a second hand part from a scrap yeard fitted by previous owner (there's that white writing on it with "156" written on) So I'm not sure it's the right part to begin with.

Can anyone help identify what I should be using? Plastic rocker cover btw....

QUOTE(TwinSpark @ 16th June 2006 23:44) *
sorry had a few beers & the last 5 posts have had me ''caps lock on'' sorry again.

I have a Bosch 0280 217 111 blush.gif blush.gif

Yes i am going to clean it up - put it back in the box & tell the motor factors that although it is what i ordered - it is acording to the manual & the 145/146 owners board/club ''the wrong one'' & will they please swap it for a 0 280 218 019

If they don't - i will have to sell it on ebay & say ''used for only 200 miles''

If i do sell it on ebay because the motor factors won't play ball - ARE THE ONES I HAVE SEEN ON EBAY ANY GOOD (ARE SOME SELLERS BETTER THAN OTHERS)

Opp's ''caps lock on again'' - sorry blame the budweiser (i have a had to many tonight so the wife has just told me) tongue.gif

Hey dude..... you have two weeks (14 days to the edjumakated) to change your mind on any purchase from a stealer or otherwise... if by chance you open the box and break the imaginary seal some companys put on thier items..... YOU STILL HAVE 14 days! Return soiled pants that pinch slightly, food that doesn't taste quite as you expected!
I LOVE the consumer credit act of 1974...... i saved 9500.00 by knowing the law.... not the moral implications of borrowing! Customer means they can refuse to trade with you..... and generally for that reason, you are protected!
Credit cards? Loans? any old thing? Its all about the 14 day rule!
If it'll help my money pit awaits.... i'll buy it off ya!

Free credit advice on request! Haa!
