First of all i want to say hello to all people here, from Serbia.

I am Alexander Filipov and i like to trade and fix things,so one day i search for them online and find one little red car with intrested rims for trade and rest of car can go in parts.

A few calls and i was allredy in my van with trailer on the road to one scrapyard. The seller was one classic idiot who destroy this car to the max,he said " I try to start car and under the hood have massive explosion and thats all i can't start it anymore".

Ok i open the hood and see there was a tear apart protocomer hose and gas/propan device that atached to that, later we put battery and try "to start" car(just listen engine for strange noices and sounds fine).

After that we talk about price, and he accepted my price of 310 euros and that it,so i go to home with somthing on trailer. smile.gif

I'll write in eposodes, and do not mind me on my English. smile.gif

I wash the car and in my head saw the little potential... pappap.gif

And after that i start to search for problem...

First off all i want to send a gas/propan device to history(no more explosions on that part of car) so lets cut some wires and back to stock...the gasoline. biggrin.gif

Under the hood i put another protocomer hose and try to start car with jump cables...and nothing, first disappointment.

Another three day i just read about this car how to check this an that, and another three days i check all that and realized it was problem with crankshaft sensor, bought new one for 20e put it on car...and first joy i started the car. biggrin.gif

Thanks,i think that i will able to save this car on proper way. smile.gif

Next step was a test ride(without registration-plates biggrin.gif) throught my neighborhood ,and that was awersome engine and exaust sounds perfect.

Here is a sound check from YT

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=swrNgPo3vUo...eature=youtu.be

And on dashboard was't check laps on.

But in ride i realised that was problem with one rear bearing, shaking on stearing wheel, crampy second gear ih higher rpms and problematic noicy stearing pump.

Ok lets search for bad bearing, and here it is. biggrin.gif

Beacause here in Sebia is a difficult to find a parts for this model it takes two weeks until i put a new one(20e).In middle time i figure out that on evry fu**** wheel is difrent type of nuts. no3.gif so i must order new for aluminium wheels(floating-conus nuts 20pcs-30e).

After changing this parts,in new test ride car goes much smoothier, but there is a little bit wobbling in higher speeds because bad front tyres,i guess.

OK the car is on wheels, and now is time to fix rusty floor at local car tinsmith, that takes another two week an 40 euros, that part i dont documentend with photos but floor now is in good condition(not flinsotones car anymore),and rust protectet with anti-rust/sealing paint, that part of work was mine.I aslo chaged oil,oil filter, air filter that was tear apart cuz gas explosion(description above) that cost me 35e. biggrin.gif

For now on car i spent total 145 euros

Because work in one middle school(IT Administrator) i forgot car a little bit.

Meanwhile...

Welcome to the forum Caja. Nice example there. Don't worry about tje noisy power steering. Get an air induction kit set up and you wont hear it again. Why don't you use GB eBay. It will still be cgeaper than Germamy for 145 parts even with postage. Enjoy the forum.
