I've lowered the front driver seat in the weekend using the How To post here!
I've been waiting for months to do it and finally had the time. The difference is huge, and the driving position now is optimal.

Also took it to the suspension shop to replace rear shocks, rear springs (Eibach) and the bearings of the rear arms. The car has lowered 4 cm in the back. Later I will post photos.
Next week I will send it to replace the complete front suspension and finally complete this stage.

One of the best mods I've done. However.. if you have a regular passenger they'll notice you're low slung whilst they remain in the sit up and beg position. That observation never bothered me though.

Today I have been doing some little jobs:
Reconnect rear washer hose, cleaned up battery terminals and clamps, clipped grill in properly and remounted the o/s front bumper, yay, no more gaps.

Well done, Wayne good effort in these conditions

I'm gearing up for an underside rust-patch clean-up, on the milder days at the end of the week.

Plus I need to sort out why I've lost the air-recirculation & AC switches backlight, after I replaced the heater-control bulbs the other week...

Surprisingly sunny and warm day in Liverpool 😁
Noticed last night I have no illumination for mileage readout screen, shouldn’t be an issue but it bugs me......

Hey Wayne-

the odometer backlight is a replaceable incandescent lamp

the socketed 'holder' for it is red for some reason, if I remember correctly.

It's a ten minute job to do...

Can confirm, should be a standard 286 1.2w type bulb.

Should the heater knobs themselves light up or just the outer parts i.e. red/blue, fan speed etc.?

'funny' you should ask that, Vroom- as I just replaced the lamps last week, and lost the AC & re-circ switch back-lighting at the same time rolleyes.gif

I was sure I had the heater knobs themselves illuminated before- watch this space...
