A few years ago AROC published an article in their club magazine with a retrospective review of the 145 & 146. I've been trawling through this website trying to find if anyone has posted it before. Haven't found it yet, but I'm sure Pimp will direct me straight to it if it's here!

Anyway, if it hasn't been posted here before, I have a copy of the article which I can scan & I'll post it on the site myself. I don't have a scanner either at home or work, so you'll have to bear with me while I go and organise something. If there's another AROC member reading this who has a scanner & has kept their old copies of club magazines they may be able to organise it quicker than me.
The owners's club magazine issue is:

Volume 37, Number 6 2003.

It also has an appraisal of a Power Alfa modified 145 which I can scan at the same time.

The main article has some interesting info on it, including sales figures of all the different models on a year by year basis. If somebody out there has alot of time on their hands they could cross reference all the members cars on this Forum with the sales chart.....mmm..welcome to the geek zone laugh.gif

EDIT: Scan now attached.

Attached File  AROC_145_Review.pdf ( 6.21mb ) Number of downloads: 2037

Sounds good!

I think I've seen the sales figures somewhere before, but I've not seen the whole article.

Get it scanned! biggrin.gif

Would be interesting to read !!

I've bought an Autocar magazine from eBay with a test between the Alfa 145, Rover 200 and RS2000. Makes quite an interesting read. If anybody is interested I can see if I can scan that too...

ACE? Is that a local Alfa Romeo Club owners meeting? I'm not actually a member anymore so I don't get information on local meetings . My membership expired earlier this year just as I got made redundant. We were planning to change the 145 anyway, so didn't renew the membership. Got a new job, but will still driving the 145 for the foreseeable future biggrin.gif .

Just been down to Call Print in Hertford to find out the cost of getting the pages scanned. I know them in there, so they said they would only charge me half price. Even so, they wanted 15.00, & I was suppling the disc ohmy.gif

Do you have a scanner Mr Dog Breath? I work in Hertford, & if you're around I could give you the magazine to scan. Failing that, I'll get my brother to do it at the weekend.

Just seen the tread about ace, so I know what its now. Sorry, I'm still new around here blush.gif

Unfortunately I have to babysit my son as my wife works nights in the week. No social life is one of the joys of new fatherhood. Weekends aren't much better either..she works days..

Ok, I have the article scanned. Just tried to add the attachments to a post, but it seemed to be taking a long time to download, then my computer froze unsure.gif

Are these files too big? Each page of the article is saved as a separate PDF file; there are 10 pages, so there are 10 files. Each file is averaging about 700 KB because they are colour.

Don't want to crash the whole site...so is it ok to add these files to a post?

Hope this has worked.
If not, will have to do it all again. laugh.gif

I'll see if I can find any more info from my old AROC magazines. Articles on 145 & 146 were few & far between though. I'm sure I have one which has an article written by a guy who experieced brake failure on his 146 during a track day. This resulted in the recorded problem of the contact between the Inlet manifold/ brake master cylinder.
