Alfa Romeo 145 1600 TS 16 Valve 3 door hatchback for sale.
First registered March 2000. Owned since December 2014. Two former keepers.
Mileage 88,406. Mot failure November 2020.

Owned for the last 6 years, regularly serviced & parts changed as required.
Always serviced by EMC Racing in Redhill. Runs well with a sweet engine & gearbox.

I installed the following new parts last October prior to the Mot:-

New rear suspension springs.
New handbrake cables.
New rear brake callipers.
New Ferodo rear brake pads.
New rear drilled & grooved brake discs.
New Ferodo front brake pads.
New front drilled & grooved brake discs.
New JVC speakers in doors. ( One fitted )

I should have got Mot first before starting the above work.
The Mot failure was mainly due to corrosion in the front floorpans meeting the sills, knackered tyres, a bit of a noisy exhaust ( needs a second silencer ) handbrake cable adjustment, a couple of rusty front brake pipes.,

As I have too many other things to sort out I do not have the time & inclination to do all the welding work required.

I also have a new front bumper assembly & new front road springs to go on the car.

The car has a rare black full leather interior including door cars in very good condition, & four rare Alfa Romeo 155 16Ē Speedline Sport Alloy Wheels in reasonable condition & one spare that has slight buckle in it. ( repairable by Lepsons )

Also, a stainless steel exhaust system, Alfa headlamp protectors, & Alfa stainless sill trims, &
Heko door wind deflectors.

Variator, Lambda sensor, Air flow meter, changed plus a service was carried out 2019
Cambelt kit & water pump, Radiator, Catalytic converter, replaced in 2018

I have a file with all the receipts for the car since I owned it.

Too good a car to scrap, someone with some time & effort could bring it back to life.

I would have thought it would be worth £600 with the leather interior, Speedline Sport wheels, & all the new parts ? ?

Honest mate don't scrap this its too good. A great looking car too. The MOT failures are minor, weld plate on job for the floor pan sill and other stuff easy to fix. £600 easily worth it for the. The 1.6s once they get going are a great engine, in many ways more fun than the 2.0 as you can really rev it.

The Momo seats and door cards easily £250+.

Sadly back up for sale due to a very unreliable transport service (of which Shiply have suspended and are processing a refund) and other quotes being astronomical! Just waiting on the deposit being sent back by the owner! Gutted sad.gif

Through no fault of my own, due to being messed around with a courier (of which is now suspended on Shiply) the owner has decided to keep my £100 deposit, despite me keeping the owner up to date every step of the way!

ER,

that's a bit steep- but I would still go for it personally

How far can it be?

Where I live; it's in a list of 'reasonable excuses' to go and collect a purchased vehicle...

I canít collect it, as I donít have a trailer nor a tow-bar. Also due to the date of passing my test, I am not legally allowed to tow a trailer. Transport costs are £500 plus, the courier I had booked was £250. They said they could do a deal at that price as they were coming back to Scotland with an empty trailer on a specific date. They turned out to be con artists and I expressed with the seller before hand I wasnít prepared to pay £500+ for a courier. The deal only went ahead based on that quote, I then secured my interest in the car by leaving a holding deposit. The car is in the Kent area.

Oh, well, at least that's something.

Sorry Mawv- I hadn't appreciated the logistics- that certainly sounds stacked up against you

It's great to hear you nearly landed another one though...

Regarding transportation costs, the cheapest I could find was a company called anyvan , came out at about 180 quid to move my 145 from Essex to Surrey - admittedly quite different to Kent to Scotland but maybe worth considering for future if you hadn't heard of them?

Good shout, Sam-

thanks for the heads-up; I think in the end, regardless of location; it's just a question of mileage isn't it..?

Thanks Mawv- I'm alright; doing a bit better than the 146.gif in fact... sad.gif

What is it with 145's and Kent?? When I was searching for one the only 3 for sale for months were in Kent and I bought one of them. Luckily it was MOT'd so I didn't have the hassle of a transporting it. I didn't realise that sort of thing cost so much.
