Hi everybody!!

This story started 5 months ago, when a good chap at the Spanish forum showed an uncared 145. I was always searching for a ph2 one, so when I saw those pics I thought that I needed to rescue it!!

The engine suspectedly had a broken sump and bent valves caused by a bad cambelt job. The Giallo Zoe was damaged by the sun and had some cracks and dents. All seemed like a car with basic service that allowed the car to be used, just that. I had hard moments arranging some tax problems but finally I arranged the carriage of the car to my home. Last week was the first time I saw it! It drew me a smile, I achieved my goal!!

The bodywork and interior was like I expected when I saw it on pics, but there are some ups and downs. The ups are when I kept blink.gif when I saw all three keys, original AR documentation, OEM radio and alarm!

The down is the engine. I expected an unusable sump, crankshaft and a repairable head. But when I saw it, now I think the engine is almost useless, as there are lots of damage. Later I will take out the engine block and gearbox out of the car. If I find an undamaged crankshaft, I'm lucky. If not, almost whole engine will go to the trash.

Because it is a really special unit on here, I'm planning to restore it, without hurries, doing step by step and all done properly.

I will be posting on here as I work on it. Now is awaiting at the garaje, peacefully. First, I need to work on the 146 Ti tongue.gif

Thanks!!

Hi Antonio,
Looks like you have a good project there, the Zoe 145 always look good and are worth saving imho.
Good luck with sorting it out and keep the updates coming.

Zoe yellow!

this is going to be terrific- it's got to be worth it!

I take it the underneath is in great condition, due to the Spanish climate..?

Thanks for commenting, will see how it goes, now is time to wait until I reach good level with fixes on my 146 Ti, then I will start working on it. For now I will buy some bits and bobs that can be interesting having on it, like Recaro seats, suspension improvements.. tongue.gif. I think I will fit the Sport kit 16' rims in this 145 instead of my 146 Ti, will suit it better blush.gif
