This year I have seen the decline of the 145. Even the 146 has had more cars at events. Went to Mitcar on Sunday and there was only one 145 there!

Where are all the 145s??

If you are a 145 owner please post a reply with a pic if you can.

You are right, Ganz

-i think the last 18 months have been the watershed moment. I suddenly noticed about a year ago that I hadn't seen any for a while.

And since getting the 146 in March this year; I have never seen another 145 or 146 or the road. (except Martyn, locally to me- Purplebug)

I particularly like the 360 'challenge stradale' Italia-stripe over the bonnet!

Nice pic. Last Last I saw a 145/6 as another car passing by was probably 4 years ago and it was such a shock that the driver waved as I did.

Looking great. I didn't know about the brand's hatch event. You changed your wheels to 15" team dynamics? What was the reason?

We need members like you Effkay as you're doing loads of nodding and tracking. Something I can't wait to do. Yes, it's seems to be down to a handful of us left. Soon as I get mine on the road.. we 'll have to organise a 'meet'.

I bought the Team Dynamics a while ago but only recently had them refurbed so i thought i would put them on for Brands Hatch as
the 17's i have have semi slick tyres on are getting worn.

I've got the 146 in this week, on Wednesday, for the last of the 'save the car' welding trips.

This one includes a hole in the OSR sill which i can nearly get my hand into.

If it comes back from this trip- I genuinely think I will be able to run it for years. Which is great 'cos I really love it, and I haven't seen another (as I said earlier in this thread) for a long time.

Are you getting better acceleration times with the 15"s?

Do it. Are you going to mod it externally?

Ive been looking at the data from the 'How Many Left' website - Data from DVLA. Its the only info we have and I dont know how accurate it is. But looking at the 145QV '96-'01 only this is what we have.

Current situation
Now taxed 101
Now SORN 196
Total 297

Lost last year 10
Lost since 2009 672
Most registered 1800

Current situation [taxed cars]
Now taxed 101
Lost Last Year 10
--------------------------------------------------
Sorned 196 + 6 from last year

I have the data in a spreadsheet and the number of SORN cars since 2009 is steady at at around 168. some years higher some lower, I cant work out if some are going back to being taxed and the ones lost from taxed are becoming SORN or scrapped. But as we have [last year] ten fewer taxed cars but gained six as SORN, maybe four were scrapped last year?

We've lost 672 since 2009 when the sorn data starts and I'd say most are scrapped as the SORN data is steady at around 168.

So who is sitting on the SORN cars? I have one QV SORN and another QV runner which is in good nick.

The list of cars on the DVLA website is a bit confusing, No diesel shown and the 1.6 appears twice [as 1.6 and 1.6ts] The 1.4 isnt shown but that might not have been available in the UK? [anyone know?]

If anyone can tell me what the model list for the UK was I'll do a bit more work.
ie; did the UK get a diesel or the 1.4 boxer? why is the 1.6 listed twice?

1.6 engine was either boxer - early models and TS after they discontinued boxer with first FL. Usually they are listed as 1.6 and 1.6TS.

same goes for 1.4 - boxer, 1.4ts - twinspark

I think UK didn't get JTD engine with '99 model year.

I'm still deciding if I like it or not - maybe in another 17 years I'll have made my mind up wink.gif

Dante - the headlamp protectors were on it when I bought it, though these are not the originals! These I think came from some one on this forum, or ebay, can't remember which.

it's a variation on a classic Italian car colour;

Blu Sera

which is a Maserati colour. I like the rubbing strips painted-in too!
