Hmm..

Well today I noticed that my OS rear-door on the 146.gif is failing to indicate being open on the centre console check panel.

It's sort of distantly glowing, which is a bit duff.

I wonder if this open/close indication-functionality is derived from the lock mechanism itself- it must be.
I need to derive the pin-out of the door connector, which must be on the B-pillar (it's been ages since I had this open) and then do a test on the wiring to establish if it is the door mechanism itself...

I'm guessing there's an individual bulb/LED for each door icon. Maybe it's just that which has failed?

hey Vroom-

Thanks for responding.

As it happens: I got another check panel of eBAy for 15 earlier in the year, and having taken it to bits I can confirm these are LEDs which don't 'really' fail.

I thought it would be. A bad switch in the door solenoid.
