Seeing CMA's recent post, his tag is' longest 145 owner', although it's long since gone, so, it begs the question, who has owned their 145/146 for the longest?

Am I in with a shout at 10 years and 1 month?

I should have made a cake or something, but I did get it a strut brace this year.

Keeping the Phase 2 no matter what.

Had mine 11 years 3 months. It had 5 miles on the clock when I bought it from new , & last weekend it rolled over 100,000 miles.
One day I'll go through the service history & add up all the money I've spent on it - see how close it is to the original purchase price unsure.gif .

OMG, that's awesome. No wonder the forum is such a great credit to the members and is such a useful place. I would have been lost without it.

Not a 145, but my poorly Volvo 440 has been with me since 1998. It's now a bag of cr@p tied up rough, and she'll have to go in April for whatever I get for that. Probably 100-200. The work required for the MOT gets worse every year; although cost isn't really and issue, I just can't be bothered with what seems like weekend after weekend getting the thing ready for the MOT, especially tarting up rotting rear wheel arch rust. It'll be a sad day when I drive it to the scrap yard right at the end of tax/MOT. It'll be like putting down an old dog you've had for ages; it's a bit smelly, doesn't look very good and doesn't work properly, but will be very sad to see it go.

I think as my regular mile-muncher and winter hack, I will go for a 1.6 Fiat stilo, at around 1000 for a 52-54 plate with 40-50k on the clock. Unbelievable value (until it breaks down permanently).

I had mine for 11 years exactly from new, traded it in at Veloce's in September for 500 with 92000 on the clock. Never had any major problems over and above the usually BBoB etc.

Cost me 12500 new (they'd stopped making them when I bought mine, so they'd dropped the 16.5K to 12.5K), and I looked at trading it in at 3 years at an Alfa Dealer and got offered 3500...so keeping it for an extra 8 years was a wise move!
