Right.....I was looking to go to the 'ring for Easter (the opening times are really good) but am a bit unsure about how the weather would be....also, there didn't seem to be much interest from anyone else whistle.gif so have shelved that idea and am now thinking about June instead.

I was initally planning to do a May Bank Holiday trip again but nothwistanding the crummy opening times for that weekend, I simply can't get the time off work in May. No ifs, buts or maybes, it's simply not happening mad.gif

But, there's a very nice slot in June, the long 'weekend' of 23rd/24th. Travel over on Thursday 21st would catch the evening session, there's half-day opening on the Friday plus it's open the full weekend, for a return home on Monday.

Now this is the weekend after Le Mans so it may not be convenient for some but it would be nice if a few more could make it....and well, one hopes the weather would be nice (ie, nicer than last May's wash out!), without the searing heat and crowds that there would be in July/August.

I've looked into Norfolkline again, the prices are pretty much as before - £54 return (although the £10 fuel surchage that I paid in September seems to be pretty much permanent now, making it £64 again) rolleyes.gif . I've just got an early booking price of £38 return, all in , which is superb and if this is a go, I may well take advantage of it.

So, anyone else, or am I going to be Billy-No-Mates?! unsure.gif

Well, you know I am planning on doing the Le Mans banger challenge that weekend (that's assuming there is enough interest) so I'll be in the vicinity if the banger makes it to the ring!

If the Le Mans thing doesn't come off, I'd be up for a weekend at the ring instead.

Mr Sweens.

I am travelling to the ring on the 30th of June for 3/4 days with an overnight stop on the way home for a p**s up somewhere in France...

I will see if I can re-arrange it for these dates, as we are all a bit hazy over wether the 30th is the best time, and I might be able to 'persuade' the guys to go earlyer in the month...

I will keep you informed, would be great to see a 145 going round nd get another of those wonderful steaks in Pistenklause smile.gif

Right, am definitely going to Nurburg in June - have taken advantage of the Norfolkline early booking offer and have booked my ferry.

I'm going out Thursday 21 June at 10.00..........returning on Tuesday 26 June at 16.00.

Have decided to add an extra day on the end, as it's no more expensive on the ferry and seeing as I'm only doing one trip this year, I figure i'd make it a good one smile.gif

It does mean I'll be able to enjoy the Thursday evening session, half-day Friday, all day Saturday and Sunday, plus the Monday evening one pappap.gif .

The ferry has cost me £38 return, all in and inclusive of the £5 each-way fuel surcharge that seems standard now. I was given an offer code by Norfolkline (EB07 if anyone's interested in trying to use it) but the price seems the same anyway!

So, if anyone else fancies a jaunt to Germany, that's the dates I'm going.....

Mrs hazey and I are good to go... same dates as Sweens - accomodation and ferry booked.

Not going in my QV though huh.gif This year, I'm gonna have to rough it in her GTV cool.gif

Any more for any more?

Cool, the more the merrier!

I've booked my favoured B&B, Pension Daniels, in Nurburg village. If you fancy staying there, their website is http://www.nuerburgring-pension.de/Wir/wir.html - it's all in German and if you want to enquire about a booking, best to email Robert at info@nuerburgring-pension.de

I'd love to join you guys there if I can smile.gif

Unfortunately it's a little too early to say if I can actually make those dates. I've just started a new job and I'm also in the process of trying to buy a house, so any holiday will be a last minute thing as and when time and money allow. I'll definitely make it some time this year, but it's always more fun if there's a few of you, rather than travelling solo.

I'll be in touch again a bit closer to the date.

you're all mad to go all that way so close to Le Mans and NOT go to Le Mans. If you've not been to Le Mans before it is a fantastic weekend / week.

Oh, and can you all please do a lap of honour for our baby - it's due while you're all there!

Aye, you're right, of course... Le Mans will probably happen next year for me.

As for babs, no worries... that and a few post track scoops to wet the wee b**gers head. beer.gif

Well the 75 has just pasted its MOT and I would rather take it, but Mrs van will want a spin so may have to take the spider as she will have problems with the 75 rolleyes.gif
