I had 2 new Goodyears fitted to the front on my 1.6 this afternoon at the usual place I use. Whilst there I asked about a price for a new Cat as I will need one for definite come next MOT. £150 fitted and the guy remarked that it was a very good price compared to other cars. I’m not sure about the exhaust condition so I got a price for that too. £435! Maybe it has to be made up and that inflates the price? Thankfully I have a stainlesss system in the garage as a spare. Has anyone come across high prices for any service items?

It might sound obvious, but not if you shop around... there are so many online sources for parts I can't remember when I last bought from a dealer - or even had my garage source parts.
