What are the odds of this happening? I decided to spend a day in Birmingham as you do when you collect a book from Waterstones. I've parked my red 145 and walking to the stairway when I see this car being parked.. at first I thought it was someone making away with my 145! To my astonishment it was not my 145 but a Alfa 146 in red w00t2.gif Didn't want to freak the driver out as he was still parking up and I could have been any nutter. Went to my car to pick something up after a minute but he was gone. I've never seen this 146 ever! Who are you ninja.gif and how is it possible that I have not seen this car. Gasp!

Here are the pics I took. The odds of a a 145 and 146 ph1s in red in a random parking block must be 1000s to 1. The car was one of the best examples I've seen. Paintwork immaculate.

I know. It was immaculate. It really was w00t2.gif The front bumper which usually gets neglected and paint fade as its plastic was perfect. This must have been like a factory turn out. The owner must make themselves known!

even the wheels look 'slightly' shinier than normal- it's a bit more reflective than 'just' silver paint. Lovely little detail.

and terrific to have the balls to stick with the standard wheels...

Agreed. They're not everyone's cup of tea.. That's how I knew it not 'my' car being driven by somebody else!

Looked up the MOT history - only done about 63k. No mention of floor pan rust either.

63k ??!

crikey- remind me to keep on autotrader for THAT one..!

funny isn't it- that the general topside patina of these things often reflects the underneath...?

Not so sure about that - the Fire Black 146 I bought earlier this year was definitely a car of two halves - paint and interior excellent; floorpan = swiss cheese...

BTW - I really like those standard 146 teardrop alloys!
