Good day,
Since a while now (3 years) I have my 146 (1.6 TS 16v 1998) in my garage.
Every couple of months I would start the engine and it was running fine.
Though last times it was strangly running at high revs at idle.
Meanwhile battery went dead.
The other day the engine would not start. Not even with a new battery.
Now that I want to use the car again?!?
Could the ECU be corrupted or does it need battery-load (connect battery for some time) to feed its circuits again?
Is there a procedure to test?
I do not have a ODB or other diagnostic tool. Though like to find out my self a bit before I go to Alfa Romeo dealer.
Or could it be something else??
Suggestions and advice very much welcome.
Thanks.
i think you need to get the engine started first !
i would get a 2nd car with some heavy duty jump leads with the 2nd car reeving high when stating your car so you car keep the car turning over high
and have you tried to reset the fuel cutoff switch ?
