Hello All,

I went to plug in the laptop in to the 145QV today and got no response. i have connected to the car before with no problems, So my question is what colour should the led on the cable be. I have a VAG com (FTDI) it is currently orange but i have a vague memory if it being green last time.So looks like i have a faulty cable.

test results in Dnecudiag

The cable i have was a cheap one so not sure it is a knockoff, i have also tested it on a CF1 and CF2 and can not talk to either, any help appreciated or i might just have to buy a new cable.
Cheers Steve

None of the cables I've seen have a bi-colour LED. It just lights up a single solid colour when the circuit has power.

I've had one of these cables fail on me before so unless there is a problem with the settings for the COM port timing or your laptop drivers (have you tried another laptop?) then I would suspect the cable. They're cheap enough so it maybe worth just getting another and giving it a go.
