I'chipped my 145 two times.
Immediately I have to say my jtd was in good condition but out of normal working. The engine works hard.

What I had:
power 100,7 hp at 4168
torque 240,6 Nm at 2593

This was offered to me:
http://www.ziptuning.nl/chiptuning/Alfa-Ro...5pk.html#header
power 136 (+31) hp at 4000
torque 290 (+35) Nm at 2000

What I'd got:
power 117.9 (+17.2) hp at 4612 (no limit)
torque 263.9 (+23.3) Nm at 2340

What I'd got second time after fixing the EGR:
power 117.7 (+17.0) hp at 4020
torque 287.5 (+46.9) Nm at 2199

EGR after re-mapping doesn't open but it gonna be pressurized.

My impressions will translate Google ))))) If you are satisfied this translation, tell me please - I'll do so with 20vt report wink.gif

1) Stock: in 1700 we felt the surge of thrust, 2300 - "tap the rest of" after the 3000 machine die.
Pronounced pickup - this is nice. Full and dynamic feel of acceleration was not possible to achieve, because that switching does not trapped into the lug (I'm not sure this word))), it was necessary to turn the engine somewhere before 3500 and after 3000 he was turning dull and completely uninteresting, not even nice. Therefore, in an ordinary town acceleration 0-80 km / hour I whirled to 3000 in every gear, three felt the pickup, and then include the fourth and went on to the normal speed of about 2000.
There is desirable to note a significant difference between the obtained characteristics and magnitude of the moment of the declared plant, however, as I understand, 8v jtd behave at all well.

2) Chip1: somewhere in the 1700 pickup began, which gradually grew to 3000 and then to 3500 and continued uniformly subsided after 3500.
There was flexibility - we could continue overclocking without changing the transmission and traction was quite smooth. Dispersal was feeling very dynamic, because Motor readily spun to 3500, where switching to the next gear is not going to lug. Driving through the city became more comfortable, enjoyable and dynamic. The result was absolutely satisfied!

3) Chip2: the picture has changed dramatically - from the bottom pulls simply unrealistic. Therefore, I hasten to share a ride to two modes: normal and active.
Normal: shift to 2500, as time from the bottom missing. Gas crush little - a couple of centimeters. If the fourth transfer press harder, it immediately hand crosses over the 80 km / hr. Ride was a bit unusual and even boring - sitting pedal strokes, and even for active rebuilding it should put pressure only slightly.
Active: In this mode, you must turn the engine until 3500, and in the range of 2500-3500 response remained the same, but slightly higher, ie acceleration was largely unchanged. But! Because of the increased momentum on the rank and file as soon the first impression was that the machine die closer 3000. In fact, it has become even faster, but subjectivity spoils. But this also has its advantages: you can before switching, because There are no lug.

Power box is easy to do, it can be sold for another car later or you can remap it for your next car. It changes sensor readings of fuel pressure and it causes an increase of fuel injection.

Chip tuning (remapping) more hard to make. But it is more correct way at the same time. It changes about 15 parameters in ECU. For examle, my EGR is out of working parameters and still close all the time.

Now I sell my ECU with immobilizer box and key chips for 150$. It can be discussed if you want wink.gif

http://forum.alfa145.com/index.php?showtopic=19095 - that's why I'm selling it.

What will it give you? I don't know, it depends of your engine condition.
You can see graphics and description - make your conclusion.

I was wrong! It can change more than one parameter. Ignition can be tuned too.

I'll write about ECU tuning with power box soon.

Today I've seen tuning of citroen 1.6hdi. It has 86hp of factory 109hp. Tuning without increasing of boost had give 142hp and 290Nm at 2500rpm almost not decreasing to 4000rpm. It's adle just by tuning air/fuel ratio and "ignition".
