hi all just been having problems with the engine juddering its a 1.9 jtd the garage as isolated the problem to be the egr valve and as temporary measure they have cut out the use of the egr valve while it is replaced is there any bad consequences to doing this?

It shouldn't have any adverse impact and you'll just get higher than normal emissions (not a problem unless you're planning on putting it through an MOT like that). In some cases you will actually notice a slight increase in performance with the EGR valve disconnected because spent exhaust gasses aren't being shoved back into the inlet so there is more room for a purer air/fuel mixture.

forget the EGR valve Max, I think you are our first UK based diesel owner.

Is the car and import, LHD or have you had it converted to RHD or was it a RHD petrol converted to diesel?

Either way, your car is unique.

Hey can you please tell me were you have found that egr valve???
i drive a diezel to and want to close the egr valve. soon i have a powerbox to.
but let me know were that egr valve yea thnx mate
