Hi all,

Thought I'd introduce myself, I'm Roy, and this is my Alfa 145, it arrived today, abet unwillingly after being sat in a scrapyard for 2 years! It's a 145 cloverleaf, as ever it has some jobs that need doing so I'll be going through the list, hopefully with help from this forum! So far;

Refit interior
De mould interior
Find cloverleaf side skirts
Brake overhaul - totally seized, they were hanging on for dear life!
Roof damage - it has been lifted with a strap at some point by a knuckle dragger
Clutch - pedal on floor with no life when moved.

And many other things!

Thanks for taking the time, if anyone does know of the previous owner, the yard I got it from told be he had been forced to get rid of his pride and joy, (it does show he spent a fortune on it) I'd love to get in contact, even if it's just to get any documentation for the car.

Enjoy

Roy

Welcome to the forum! Looks like a good project you have on there, I'd love that sort of thing again if I ever had the time. Im sure there will be alot more to list that you already have, check out the floor pan, radiator, cambelt, variator, sensors etc.

Keep us all updated of your progress, welcome again.

Thanks langers, iveseen from the mot history it's had the floorpan welded and all lights go on and off as they should! I'll be doing all the oily bits, I'm treating it as if nothing's been done!

I think I've got a good one too - looking forward to driving it more!

I'm amazed that remained intact on top of that container for 2 years without being robbed of any (many) parts!

The owner of the yard wouldn't break it as he knew it was a cloverleaf, he said he'd been offered 800 for the wheels! I swapped it for an ex-wedding (read massive amounts of neglect) jaguar xj6 4.2. The Alfa will scratch the speed itch, plus be within reason practical as I got the wife a 206cc!

Hi Roy,

that used to be our 145 between 2004 and 2011, when we stupidly sold it .........
it had done 140k but was only showing 12k on the clocks as it had new ones around 2007
if you still have it and want to part, I'd have it back in a heartbeat... pls get in touch

hope its running again

regards

James

Yes she runs but is awaiting fresh metal in the sills and rear foot wells, clutch is stuck to the floor but she should be going for an mot mid - late January, as there's a quite a list! Then the roof repairs will happen!

It's in good hands. enthusiast Hands.

Any history you have for it would be brilliant as all I got was a v5!

Indeed it is, I have offered James the opportunity to have it back, as I know how it feels to regret selling a car! But he's yet to make contact!
