Wow,

It's quiet in here, eh?!

How many of us are left North of the Border then...?

Let's get a show of hands...

I was going to say; 'what would it take to get everybody out?', but I'll wait and see if I'm really by myself first...

Otherwise, that would be like; standing in a cave, talking to myself, which would be mad wouldn't it...

Lol it's a lot quieter these days. Are you going to the..

Spring Alfa Day. It's at Yorkshire Wildlife Park on Sunday 23rd April?
There is Auto Italia Car Day at Brooklands (always a good 'un) on Saturday 29th April.
There is Donnington Historic Festival on Monday 1st May (lots of racing Alfs will be there).
Italian car and Motorcycle museum at Newby Hall Sunday 4th June
I'd like to organise a meet once I get my 145 on the road. I want to 'do' Le Mans (17th and 18th June)
National Alfa Day Knebworth House Sunday 9th July (usually there is a track day organised)
Silverstone classics Sunday 30th Sunday
Mitcar (Midlands Italian Car day) Ragley Hall, Warwickshire, Sunday 20th August
Ormskirk Motorfest, Lancashire Sunday 27th August
Nurburgring, Zandvoort in Holland, and any road trips, track days etc. I'll let you know

Hey Ganz,

In a word 'no'- all of those meets are too soon and too far for me to journey to, at this point.

My 146 adventure really only starts in a week, with an appointment with a local specialist for advice on welding, which my car needs before it is even road safe, to be honest.

Once I'm 'solid', there may be more of an opportunity to stretch its legs.

Do you see a good turnout at these things for 'our' part of the family??

That's ok. I've been off the road for the last three years but have been in my 147. Its great to go. More so when you see a 145 or 146. I still remember the excitement of my first Alfa meet. My other half didn't get it lol! She worked with Alfas so i couldn't understand it..

Your missus was in the Alfa bsuiness?

Outstanding choice of Partner, Ganz!

I met up with Purplebug off here, last night as it happens- he has a 145 cloverleaf; and we are both the only other person we know with a car!

So, it was a two-car mini meet !

Hi. I'm from Coldstream but now live just over the border in Wooler . I also have some finishing to do to the 145 before she's ready to see the world again. Not long now though, just need insured and a windscreen ( hopefully).

Yes, it's a bit of a family affair with other members of the family involved with Alfas. That's how I got into it myself. Before i got the alfavirus a car was an A to B transport. I had a cavalier, a Laguna and a Peugeot. Non script cars - no disrespect, but pretty regular cars. I actually wanted a Vectra once but then realised I only wanted a form of transport. Then I saw this red 145 with red seats (covers) and thought " Hang on a sec! What's this? Rest is history.

Lol! Thanks dude. Walked in to the family connected Italian garage and saw this Rosso Red 147 GTA lowered, 18" multispokes, black leather interior, carbon fibre on engine.. I experienced the same thing. I gotta have that car. It's near 9K and I don't have a penny. Went for a test drive as a passenger in it and it was BRUTAL!!!

sounds terrifying!

'brutal' is never a good word to associate with performance!

is it advertised anywhere?

Can you post a link...?
