I might be up for this. Daft question though, would I have to take the 145 or would you folk let me off with taking the GTV?

Not overkeen on tracking the 145 but will do if the GTV is banned! As has been said its not a track day so I dont have to go at warp factor 9 laugh.gif

My joining the Dutch forum has led to them asking if a joint meeting at the Nurburgring could be possible!

I said yes (hope that is ok?)...and asked if they had a date in mind

shall I carry on?..find out who is organising theirs etc?

Hi guys,

Like E500 allready mentioned, we (the dutch 145/146 club) go to the Ring twice a year. Allways in may and october. We will try to do the same this year too. It would be nice if you guys come over there in october. We are there with + 10 cars and we know a hotel that can take up to 35 guests.

A nice movie to get you guys in the mood : Me in my 146 1.8 in front of an other 146 1.8 with a camera in it... coolio.gif

Is there some specialist insurance we can take out so that should we rip out 200m of armco, we won't need to stump up £15,000 for repairs etc?

Obviously, we will all be driving sensibly, but it is possible to be swiped by the odd nutter maxing a 500 bhp supercar no.gif

I've just been looking at the ferries, i normally go dover to dunkirk (sorry english spelling) and without a promotional code it's coming back with around the £100 mark.

I've allways fancied the hull to rotterdam overnight ferry, this is saying £236 with a cabin, i know that sounds a lot more but just a quick calculation of the routes and i'd be saving about 160 miles to dover and around 60/70 miles the other side plus i would not have the monotony of traveling through belgium.

With the mileage saved going back (obviously), thats more than a tank of petrol (or more) so a saving of £80 or so plus you'd start your journey fresh from a nights kip on the ferry which must be worth a good bit.

This would be good if the lincoln lads wanted to go to.
