Ah yes Pro Alfa, I had used them a few times but this was when they had just 1st started up as a indie....and although the work was alright (could be better) their prices are a bit more than what I was expecting (but coming from where I go anywhere is).

If you wouldn't mind the travel head over to AforAlfa in Aylesbury, total bargin prices and the best person around who can help with anything Italian car related biggrin.gif

Got some prices back today - must say they were very quick to reply to my email:

New rear OE Sachs dampers: 106.80 pair
O/S/R Swinging Arm Kit: 37.50
2.75 hrs Labour
Total: 323.00 inc Vat

Compares to the following quoted by Alfaman:

Rear Shocks (no info on make): 95 pair
O/S/R Swinging Arm Kit: 48
Labour (no breakdown of hrs): 175
Total: 318.00 PLUS VAT

Obviously quite a difference in pricing between these two but what do you think of the prices anyway?

The dampers I would be happy enough to do myself if I had somewhere to do it but I don't fancy the swinging arm bush tbh

2.75 hours doesn't sound bad. It would probably take you the whole day if you tried to do it yourself (maybe longer). Just one thing to note is that I would get the bush/bearing kit replaced on both swinging arms if you can afford it, then all the bushes/bearings at the back will be the same age and everything will be new and tight on both sides. Always best to do things in pairs if at all possible.
