One of my friends made up his mind to paint bumpers and sidesteps in the shameful colour which...

I'd say I wish he didn't,he loves tho.

Here's a pic of his 145 in the terrible combination of colours ever.

Have a look.

Hey- I think that is great; very 90's Maserati!

Loving the teledials and race-style bonnet release clips!

Keep up the good work. Any Engine modifications..?

It reminds me of the VW Polo from the 90s, and that was pretty horrible too:

Websites are like a**eholes, everyone has one, and im wary of any bloke trying to direct people into their's.

The world is like a ride at an amusement park. And when you choose to go on it, you think it's real because that's how powerful our minds are. And the ride goes up and down and round and round. It has thrills and chills and it's very brightly colored and it's very loud and it's fun, for a while. Some people have been on the ride for a long time, and they begin to question: Is this real, or is this just a ride? And other people have remembered, and they come back to us, they say, 'Hey - don't worry, don't be afraid, ever, because this is just a ride...' And we ... kill those people.

I can only imagine he had some paint left over from painting drains and thought: "Hey.. why not?". It's good job FactoryOsaruJPN, that you anonymised his number plate biggrin.gif

Now I'm so astonished as I was given a positive comment!
TBH I can't say I like it...

His bonnet is made of carbon fibre which is only stuff that I envy now.

No mods in the engine,unfortunately.

>from painting drains... hahaha,I think so.

Mine is on the right.
I'm thinking about in what colour do I paint on my roof.
My roof paint has partially worn out,and its clear coating is giving way.
Do you have any ideas which colour will look good on it?

Here're my favourites,

I anonymised it with my smartphone,so It doesn't look very good.

It makes me feel someone has assembled its parts from some shops which sell used stock parts.

Those 'Harlequin' Polos are quite rare and worth alot now. They even did teddy bear wheels which are worth a fortune now due to the dub scene - reproductions are even made now:

PS. thanks FactoryOsaruJPN for thinking mine looks good. Black roofs work on the 145 I think biggrin.gif

Here're additional piccies as he wanted to show more decent ones.
BTW he wears a tee in the same colour of its bumpers / sidesteps - he was like "actually my most favourite colour".

I have the same issue and was wondering whether the respray the roof or wrap it in black carbon fibre. Reason I'm not keen on getting it resprayed is I have to leave the keys to someone (who I won't know) who will trash the engine when they take it for a 'spin'.. I'd go with black the only thing with that is that you will probably need two people for the wrap. My heart says respray in red.

Maybe it was a Google attempt.

Respray in red?
It's kind of a good idea.
It's seems too hard to modify its appearance due to its fabulous Italian design.

I remember some 147 has black roof originally...see the link below.

Thanks for the pics. As a 147 owner myself tongue.gif I appreciate the pics. That red 147 with the gloss black roof looks "..the kippers!" (@Desperado). Black roofs seem to suit red or white cars. I'd guess that spraying the roof is gonna be 200 or less. The only thing is my lacquer has peeled off and if I go with a black wrap roof I'll see the craters through indentations of the wrap where I've lost my lacquer.

Sorry for delayed reply.l've been off in Guam for a while.
Nobody seemed to be threatened by N Korea out there.

>I'll see the craters through indentations of the wrap where I've lost my lacquer.

It's important to make the surface smooth before painting.
And also i know removing whole your lacquer beforehand must be quite fiddly.

BTW I'll have my roof painted in this autumn as l have to take MOT in this October at my friends bodywork / paint factory shop.
I think so respraying would cost as much as 200 quids, approx 30000 JPY or less.

Meanwhile his car was just updated.
