Hey yen eb,

Welcome along.

Is this the two-DIN height unit, which incorporates the oddments tray underneath..?

Can you post a picture...?

Hi Yen eb

Generally, there will be a slim cover plate on each side of the unit which prises off easily with a small screwdriver or similar. Once removed, you should see a slot or two holes in which to insert the appropriate extraction tool, which would have come with the car when new. Push them in, then pull to release the stereo.

See here for picture: sony extraction tool

Halfords and many motor stores sell the little tools to get the stereo out.
I think different stereos use different tools. If your not sure any fitting shop should do it for free as itís a one minute job for them.
