Well, I just found this forum. I am an happy owner of an Alfa Romeo 145 boxer 1.6 77kW from Italy!
It was my dad's car, a few years ago he bought a new car because the 145 was broken, lying in my street for weeks.. After some time of thinking I decided to take out my tools and my will and not have it demolished as my parents wanted to.. I couldn't stand it without giving a try.

In the end, after like a month, I've managed to "revive" it.

This video is after 1 year from the works I've done.

Now, it comes the interesting part of the story.

The trend nowadays is to demolish "old" cars and to buy a new one.
I always thought that with the money I had to spend to revive it, I wouldn't have bought a better car than this. I would have found myself with a "normal" low-end car, with no interesting hardware on it..
No, I want this boxer engine, I said to myself.

Since that day, I managed this tank-engine to reach 234k kilometers, everyday I drive it for about 100km to get on my workplace and go back home.
Really love it. Never disappoints me. I am happy when it comes to drive it..

And now, you may wonder, why did I end up here?
Easy answer: I am looking for its fuel injectors, the ones I have need to be changed. One of them isn't working properly. I can feel it, and cannot stand it.. I guess after 25 years it's normal they would've broke?

This search bought me here. I am happy to see that we aren't alone smile.gif

Nice to meet you all!

Hey kAn3!

welcome along!

what a fabulous success story that is!

I think everyone here will totally admire your determination to bring this car back from the brink. Can we see some more pictures of it, and the engine..??!

Boxers are quite rare over here (UK) and I'm not sure personally what the story is on injectors; hopefully someone with a bit more Boxer-knowledge than msyelf will be able to assist.

Have you considered getting them professionally cleaned out? Ultrasonically I think...

Welcome my friend
You have come to the right place. The 145 lives foreever here.
Like the story. "No, I want this boxer engine, I said to myself." Yes, know that feeling when you hit that realisation. Not had any experience of injector issues. I would recommend in a diagnostic software like FIAT Multiscan. That way you can find out what the error - it might not be injectors but a MAF or idle attentuator/idel throttle control.

I've shared this video to an Alfa specialist to see what they say. Hopefully they will come back with a reply.
