Hey all,

Top site. Just a quick intro to me and my car.

I live near Sheffield and I own a 145 1.6TS 98(R Reg) I was looking for a new car about 5 years ago that went well and handled and didn't cost the earth to insure. 2 out of 3 isn't bad. Came accross an ex-demonstror at a dealer and fell in love with it.

It may be only a basic 1.6TS but I like it. Great handling, other 145 owners wave, and totally unique. biggrin.gif

Sorry no pics but it's fully standard with alloys in Proteo Red. I would "tweak" the car a bit but insurance would cripple me. Even if the service is crap angry.gif I would buy another one now, thinking of swopping it for a 156 blink.gif but would miss the distinctiveness (if that's a word) about my 145 .

All the best

Hi and welcome biggrin.gif

Heres a mod you can do for free and in about 30min and your insureance comp doesn't need to know.

its to take the muffler off your airbox, i know there on the cloverleafs not sufe about the 1.6L.

Open your bonett and look for the air box. once you have found that, look in forunt of that behind the passenger headlight, there should be a small pipe going down to another box in the bumper. Take that box off.
The pick up and low revs is loads and well worth it. you will need to take of one side of your bumper (just to get to one bolt). I jacked mine up high to get under the front.

I think AJ has the link to a web site that has better step by step.

All the best
