I think I had to use 164 track rod ends - the taper in the Fiat Coupe hubs is larger than the 145 tapered ball joint, but the thread on the Fiat Coupe track rod ends was too big or too small - I forget which. Assuming the steering rack has the same size thread across all the 145 variants.
I measured the taper and the thread diameter and length and went to my local motor factors and we went through the book looking at the dimensions of all the Fiat/Alfa ends and the 164 was perfect. Unforunately I can't remember if they were twin spark or the V6 ones, or if there was any difference.
