Quick post whilst the boss is looking the other way.

Good points of the trip:
1. My car made it there
2. My car made it back
3. My car hit a GPS speed of 138mph with 3 people and not yet on the limiter
4. We had nice weather
5. We managed to meet up with Wayne
6. We had a laugh with the dutch guys
7. The car got a sticker
8. We generally had a laugh specially at the restaurant with amazing views that Wayne took us to!

Bad points of the trip:
1. Google "bad accident involving ring taxi" - end of

Some pics:

Gio, i've nicked a couple of your pics.

Things i've discovered this weekend.

It can get very hot in Germany.

They can have some serious shunts on tourist days.

There are some really nice dutch 145/146 owners.

Will can drink a fair bit.

Francesco (sp) likes fleece blankets.

and Gio looks funny when all the colour has drained from his face.

Oh, and when you spin on the ring you could actually crap your pants, escpecially with a BMW right on your rear bumper blush.gif

Was big fun!

I learned that more Porsches than you might think are born with scaffolding in the boot.

That BMW drivers are d**ks, even the ones that do it for money with passengers in the back.

That Jan is a proper Ringmeister.

That the Ring's current management are cruising for big trouble.

That Wayne has excellent taste not just in cars but also in bits of Germany.

That Gio has got his 145 running like an absolute dream.

But above all that I need to get around to fixing my 145!!!

(The fleece blanket was an unexpected revelation to me too.)

Thanks all / dank u well for a great weekend!

I learned that :

'a hammer is a perfectly acceptable tool' to widen you wheel arches according to Francesco... laugh.gif

there are nutters like me that own a 145/146 on the other side of the Northsea.

like Wayne I discovered the huge shunts can happen on the Ring when not too bright Germans start to repair the trackside barriers in one of the fastest parts of the ring and don't put up signs way in front of the worksite... no.gif

RHD 145/146's only have fase 1 dashboards en the Italians never made RHD face 2 ones...

I did a 9:55 in busy traffic with Francesco as a passenger. Wondering how fast it could have been with less Beamers and beatup Beatles driving in my way...

that annoys me that does, I reckon if they did put the new dashboards in the UK version they would of sold many more ph2s.

I love the look, so much better and in keeping with the Phase 2 particularly..

I'd just come in from a lap there but did not see the roadworks so they must have started to set them up after i'd gone past, lucky i suppose.
