Hello!

Is anyone selling a Cloverleaf Alfa Romeo 145?

I am after a running and MOT'd Cloverleaf, possibly may consider other examples with small work needing to be done to it also! I'm located in the South West, so closer to home would be ideal!

Cheers! whistle.gif

Just doing an ad tonight for my Alfa 145 1.8 on Ebay. Full MOT. Belts/pump done. It has seats and alloys from my previous 145 Cloverleaf. Unfortunately I'm at the opposite end of the country to you but having said that I flew down to Gatwick to pick it up when I bought it a few years ago. Interested ?

Hi!

If you are still advertising it on eBay will take a look on there as may be interested, still I am ideally after a Cloverleaf!

Thank you.

I have a 145. MoT'd with no advisories yesterday. Black. Jan 2000. Phase 2 . 2 litre 155bhp engine. Koni sport struts and dampers. Eibach pro sport springs. Braided hoses. Solid car. It started out as a 1.8 TS but all the mechanicals are as QV. Side skirts, spoilers etc
Recent belts. Rebuilt air con system - that works! Great interior. Recent discs and pads and clutch Stainless exhaust. Just over 100k miles. Everything works. Recent tyres and 17" rims. I am thinking of selling.

Hi!

That looks a very nice example, although possibly might be too nice for me (would like to do the upgrades and work myself laugh.gif ) What are you asking for in terms of price mind?

Cheers!

I am honestly not sure what it is worth. I just replaced the lower half of the dashboard/ facia as a previous owner had hacked it about to put a double DIN stereo unit in. I have replaced that with a more appropriate JVC unit. It has up- specced speakers as well. The seats are virtually unmarked and the internal door and rear side panels have all been replaced and match the seats.

There is inevitably more work to do, but I think that all the major stuff is done.

All the tyres are recent ( and they match)

Mechanically it has just had new belts etc and new plugs too. I have replaced the radiator and header tank. It also has an Autodelta panel type air filter.

Underneath it is solid. It needed a very small patch of welding to the nearside floor pan when I bought it ( about 2x3 ") and it was then cleaned and waxoyled with black waxoyl over the entire underside.

The engine bay is clean and tidy . It has new top mountings for the struts and the turrets are sound.

I have rebuilt both headlight units ( which took hours and hours) so that the adjusters actually work perfectly ( this is oh so rare) and it has better bulbs ( 110% brighter ) .

What are the downsides?

I don't think that the car has ever been painted and given it's age. It would look better with a re-paint. It's not rusty but has the inevitable battle scars from skirmishes at Sainsburys etc. The only other thing is that I think that the stainless exhaust system is a bit too loud ( but the engine sounds great).

I can post more pictures to show the details.

I will be open to serious offers. I also have a really beautiful 156 V6 which will be for sale too. I need to think about retiring and I want to buy a Spider . If no offers materialise I shall simply keep the 145.

I don't use it every day and it is garaged throughout the winter, but yes.... it is a total bitch to keep clean!!

As Oscar Wilde said ... " I can resist anything but temptation". ( Which is why I have now owned over 30 Alfas since circa 1979).

Crikey you have put some man hours into it! I'm afraid I still need a project, as I now have garage space. Will be keeping an eye on eBay as currently 4 145's advertised. .

Cheers!!
