Southern Alfa Day Virgin!!!

I'm going and taking the family with me, unfortunately in a Skoda, as our 145 is SORN and in a right mess. Hoping to have a good look around other 145's on the day to see what parts are missing from ours and help me decide whether to go modern or authentic in the restoration and get some advice on where to start.

Here's hoping for a good turnout and good weather!

Yep, we'll be there. I'll keep an eye out on the day for your blue 1.6. I appreciate and may take you up on the offer of looking around your Cloverleaf.

We've got a 1999 1.8TS, some of the engine components are missing as the previous owner used them as spares for his QV. things like the MAF and coil packs are missing -haven't got a clue what spec or type to buy, so looking at some others engines should help me.

Look forward to meeting you at the Alfa Day.

Hi

Just spotted this meeting looks good - do you know if all the Alfas get to park together as opposed to made to go in the general car park?

Thanks
Mark..

Alfas will be in amongst the exhibits in the museum, should be good. Be there before 1030 or you might not get inside and will have to park at the train station.

Take your AROC card if you are a member, tickets online and its eTicket so you should still be able to get them.

See you there
Chris

Thanks Chris - got there early in the end and had a good parking spot with some older Alfas.

Only spotted 2 145's (phase 1 and a phase 2) and just my 146 amongst what must have been around 150 ish cars...

The blue phase 2 almost at the back was me. I saw your 146, very nice, hung around a bit hoping to say hello, but with cars spread all over the museum it was impossible.

I got in about 10 & was almost full.

Cracking day out smile.gif anyone on here own the light blue junior with the bonnet open?

Hi Chris

Did see your car - very nice too - did not see who owned the light blue junior - must have been there very early to get such a prime spot!

Cheers

Only two 145's and one 146 on display out of all those cars, although I did see a guy wearing an Alfa 145 t-shirt - does that count?

We had a great day, arrived at 11'ish and saw the blue phase 1 junior near the entrance, to be honest I thought it was yours Chris, I spent ages taking photos of it, hoping to meet you and talk about it.

Later when we were walking back down from the museum displays past the old buses, I spotted a blue phase 2 on it's way out, about 2:30pm - I guess that was you, shame we didn't get a chance to chat about your 145, maybe another time.

It would be nice if the organisers could arrange model types to be displayed together instead of being scattered around the site, they manage to do it at the Brooklands Auto Italia event.

145 T Shirt was me.... You should have said hello, yes blue one heading home was me, had things to do in the evening.

Still no idea who owns the lighter blue one, nice cam cover but rest of engine bay needs a tidy!

With so few 145/146 is wouldnt take much planning to meet up & turn up at same time, some shows do park together but its a hard task for the organisers.

Time for a 145 forum gathering?

Chris
