I tried to sell one of mine previously, became so disheartened, so many time wasters. People can be very strange! |

Lovely example, this one. My friend used to service it for the previous owner, who kept it mint... Was tempted myself when it was up for sale earlier this year. |

So I went to see the silver 146ti on Friday... it was pretty decent, on 120k with black leather and not that rusty at all.
Needed back box and a cambelt for starters but otherwise looked pretty decent. I decided not to make an offer but to wait to see how the auction went on Sunday night... as it happened, the seller accepted an offer yesterday pm. |

was the offer from you??!
I'm amazed to see these still turning up; they're are still some 'out there', eh? Those Mito wheels are okay, but I'm really coming round to the look of those tele-dials on Mark's TI... what size would those be; and what tyres would they have on them..? |

was the offer from you??! No, the offer wasn't from me - starting price in the auction was £500 and it needed £500 spending on it straight away with who knows what to come. If it hadn't had leather I probably wouldn't have bothered, tbh. (I'm still thinking back to that 146 1.8 I had (briefly) in Nero Fuocco before my 145 QV came along...) I agree the teledials look the best, they are classic Alfa! They are 15 inch - one of mine has Toyo Proxes; the other has Pirellis. i've laways had Pirellis in the past but the Toyos are v good too.. Cheers Mark.. |

15"... really? (thinking face) Thanks Mark! Jeremy- excuse my poor Italian; I only know the colour codes (for the wiring) isn't this fire-black then? -Nero Fuocco Yes, fire black (cool name)! 15” teledials - I think that’s what bothers me about them - they’re too small, to my eyes. The same style wheels fitted to the 156 were 16” and on the GTV 17” (which are awesome - as per the below pic). I think the teardrop wheels you have suit the 146 best, and the Phase 1 Cloverleaf wheels suit the 145 best! This post has been edited by JeremyG: 5th December 2019 08:14 |

Decent tyres are more important..!! |

yeah- you know I can see both sides of this.
Lower profile tyres are often a great look (on larger rims) but one of things I love about the ![]() The 'definition' of the ![]() ![]() ![]() The overall outline is an elegant stylised sleek look (inherently through 5-doors), not a sportier one, and I've always admired the fact that 15" wheels look quite good (to my eyes) on the car. Plus the ride is better and tyres cheaper! On a more sporty-coupe like shape; larger sizes look better, as they draw attention to the rolling-functionality of the vehicle. Looking fast, whilst sitting still, so to speak... |
