Would anyone have a rear offside/drivers side (RHD) tailgate light unit for sale. Its for a 1997 Cloverleaf. I've just acquired a 145, albeit very rusty!, and i'll be needing one of these at some point.

thanks,
Mick.

Cheers, have had had a 147 and a 159 prior to the the giulia QV though neither would have been classed as period at the time I had them. Currently also have a '08 abarth grande punto, a '79 fiat 124 spider and 2 x '77 lancia montecarlo's so 145 is now in good company.. I have to say the floorpan of the 145 has an impressive amount of rot though, I'm surprised at quite how much it's been attacked... Though its had some rather dubious amateur previous repairs.

Mick.

hey Mick-

Congratulations! You have great taste! TWO Montecarlo's- that's ace.

There was a guy round here, had a dark coloured one some years ago, and had managed to fit Ferrari 308 rear lights to it; it was quite a head turner!
I have a pal with a Punto EVO Abarth which I get to use regularly; it's quite a lot of charisma for such a diminiutive package.

By Giulia QV- do you mean the Quadrifoglio?(!)

Yes; it's funny how these cars (145/6's) seem to be a magnet for have-a-go welding efforts. It's like there was a mindset of owner who were only prepared to go so far, back in the day...
Half the damage; is often the 'repairs'!

Welcome to the forum. A Leicester lad eh? Only seen a black QV this neck of the woods. We're elusive us Alfa types.. Got no tailgate ones. Got loads of front lights though. Stuff I got if you need it:

Wing mirrors
Front lights
Gearshift
Accerlator rubber pad
Cf 2 water expansion tank
Original air box

Yes, main car is a giulia quadrifoglio, done 16k miles in it in a year and a half and had no issues at all so far touch wood. Its both beautiful and mental in equal measures!

Always liked 145. The one i've bought is really probably way beyond sensible repair but it will be back on the road. Its looks like a 71k motor which is backed up by a bag load of receipts and apart from the very rusty floor pan and chassis legs the rest of the car looks nice and looks like its been reasonably looked after so hopefully it will be the looking the part on the road again soon.

Mick.

Good choice on the QV Mick,

I've been toying with the idea of one for a while now- it's the first car that I've genuinely hankered after in some years. And I see they dropped under 40k now...
Trouble is; I'd have to give up something else to fund it...

All 145 & 6's are pretty much at the point you describe; IF they haven't seen sympathetic ownership- that's why there are so few. So you are starting at the nominal restoration stage- it doesn't sound 'so bad'..!

Cheers, the car is a black 97 R plate cloverleaf with 'blue' green cloverleaf badges. Seems to have been rugby/leamington spa/Coventry based most of its life.

I'm sure I read somewhere that Lincoln, or Coventry, was the centre of the known-145/6 universe...

Yes Black146 was da main man back in the day along with yourself. He brought an ST in the end. What happened to his 145?
