Hello team,

Can anyone say; how the speedo derives its feed..?

On 'period' FIATs, I have seen a feed from a sender on the gearbox: but I don't see a sender in this case...

I've got an old-'skool' sat-nav that derives a feed from what the speedo gets- IF I can find it!

There's a speedometer sender unit mounted in the top of the gearbox at the back. See post #5 and post #11 in the following thread which show pictures of it's actual location...

And this this is the wiring diagram for the speedo sensor...

THANKYOU, Giallo-

That is everything in a nutshell!

I was looking to see a sensor on the top of the gearbox, but I couldn't see one- what a fool.

Right! Planning time

Thanks for your help

Got a result on this-

had to take the battery tray out to get right down to it; but I managed to unplug it, for examination.

Oddly enough the colours & pin allocations are different to the schematic. I then verified continuity to key pins on connector 308, behind the battery...

The old-skool satnav install continues!

Just established the reversing switch input at the fuse box. Which admittedly, WAS the colour it should have been, and where it should have been on connector G.

I can't say the same for the output line to the boot, which is actually GREY not white, and I couldn't identify connector C

Does anyone have a trick or piece of advice for getting wiring through the bulkhead? I cannot get enough dashboard out to find a loom passing through to the engine?
(Other than a big unpenetrable trunk above the pedals)
