Just round the Italian Godfather of Bolsover house, he's spent two days so far to get to this stage on his maserati quattroporte.

Costs 8k to get done at the garage!!

I didn't realise the QP V was chains...!

I think I'd prefer the job on the QP IV (which was belts) a bit more! (Although; come to think of it; there was no variator on the IV.)

The forums are good- he should be well informed

Is he doing the valve clearances also- I see the covers are off; or is that just for the lock-tool Stevie?

It's always said, that the post '99 cars: 3200 GT onwards (the V8s) are 'Ferrari money' for servicing. He could have gone to Emblem though- it wouldn't have been that much with those guys.

"2 reasons really, without removing cam covers one wouldn't have access to the to the timing chain upper guide which has to be removed to replace the chain and also for better access for removing the variator, the other reason is that all 4 cams need to be locked in position while removing the timing chains, I've ordered the 2 timing chains today and replacing them as a matter of corse like you would replace a cam belt. wow Valdas- that's NOT a BMW, is it?!

When did you pick that up??!

They've become quite good value now, 360s I think, relative to the 355

Is that a GT beyond, and a Giulia beyond that??

(What else are YOU driving, Stevie??)

I thought it was a brera in the foreground?

I have a GTV 2.0 TS, as well as my 146, and I'm working albeit slowly on a Porsche 924.

How about you Dante, do you herald from Italy? The godfather came from Bovino.

No, no- I'm 'technically' Scottish, but from my parent's roots; I sound English.

So when I'm in Scotland; people think I'm English, and when I'm down South; I am identified as Scottish.

I think you are right! It's obviously a Brera!

Stevie- does your 146 have an under tray..??

when Italians are in da house BMW's wait outside laugh.gif

360 isn't mine, just sorting some electrical gremlins in engine bay. and STEVIE is right - that's my brothers Brera - to be exactly 3.2JTS Q4 and in the door way Giulia Q4

I'm still more than happy with my both 145s smile.gif

Quite right!

Bizarrely, my father-in-law (who is Italian) drives BMWs. He's always pleased to see whatever Alfas I have at home when he visits, though...

And I have heard some bad stories about Gazella Racing over-promising and under-delivering on Ragazzon kit...

Fingers crossed it'll be on the car before Xmas - and I bet it'll sound great.

(I've got a Ragazzon cat back system on my 166 and it sounds epic!)
